The Artist

Since 2012, I have hand crafted many unique art pieces with natural materials sourced locally. Each piece has its own identity and is unique because of the grain of the wood.

About Guy L Belair

Guy Louis Jean Belair was born the youngest of fourteen children from Coaticook, Quebec, Canada.  He visited Vancouver in 1986 and fell in love with the West Coast and its natural beauty, eventually making it his home.

He loves making these wooden salmon and seeing the fish come alive. Guy has always been artistic and what he visualizes in his mind he creates with his hands. www.thewoodensalmoncompany.com

Each Wooden Salmon is unique and is a collector’s piece of art.  It has its own numbered copper tag under the belly along with a certificate of authenticity.

In efforts to preserve our beautiful BC Salmon, part of the proceeds from every wooden salmon sold goes towards conservation of our BC Salmons.

What we are doing to make a difference here in BC

  • We are trying to be part of something bigger by helping conservation and preservation groups to substain the nature that surrounds us.

  • We donate part of the proceeds to Conservation Foundation Groups.

  • We take part of major events for our salmon protection and enhancement here in BC.

  • We help various organization that make a difference in our society.
